Top Restaurants in Acadiana Vie for Winner's Spot in 2^nd Annual Bread Pudding Taste-Off at Downtown Alive! May 18^th in Downtown Lafayette at Parc Sans Souci

Lafayette's 2^nd Annual Bread Pudding Taste-Off will welcome a host of top restaurants and caterers from the area as they seek to claim the title of "Best Bread Pudding in Acadiana.” A total of thirteen teams will bring their scrumptious desserts for all to enjoy. Teams hail from all corners of the area: Big Lou's Catering, Bistro Byronz, Blue Dog Café, Café Vermilionville, Copeland's, Coyote Blues, Great Harvest, Johnson's Boucaniere, La Cuisine de Maman, Pat's Downtown, Poor Boy's Riverside Inn,

The Original Don's, and Walk-on's. Over fourteen different recipes are entered this time: from traditional whiskey sauces to decadent white chocolate creations to a few secret family recipes that are sure to please and impress all who attend.

Not only do you get to sample some of the yummiest recipes around, event attendees will determine this year's champion in the People's Choice category. According to Dawn Carriker, the event coordinator, "This taste-off is dream come true for bread pudding lovers. Recipes for this dessert date back to ancient and medieval times and span across cultures from the Middle East to Europe, but you haven't really lived until you taste what the chefs of Lafayette can bring to the table.
