Caroline McGee's Master Acting Workshop

September 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, & 11th | 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

 

Caroline McGee's Master Acting Workshop for actors of all ages and experience returns to Cité des Arts, 109 Vine St., in downtown Lafayette on September 6th 7th 8th 10th and 11th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This session features script analysis for the actor, or how an actor brings a script to life by interpretation and delivery. We will draw on works from renowned playwrights and filmmakers: Anton Chekhov, Tennessee Williams, Sam Shepard, David Mamet, Quentin Tarantino, and more. Caroline currently teaches at New York Film Academy, and served as Director, The Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute/NYU Tisch Drama Studio and The Catholic University of America MFA Acting Program. She studied at Yale Drama School, UC Berkeley, National Conservatory in France (as a CODOFIL scholarship awardee). In NYC, she has studied with Stella Adler, Wynn Handman, Bill Esper, Robert Lewis, and others.

Cité des Arts is a non-profit organization that was organized to support the artistic endeavors of other 501(c)(3) organizations including, but not limited to, educational organizations, religious organizations, performing arts organizations as determined by the Board of Directors. Cité des Arts began operation in 2001 and since that time has become Acadiana’s grass roots arts incubator, by supporting and hosting numerous theatre and dance groups, visual artist and French cultural programming.
