**Will be rescheduled for a later date due to weather concerns**
Downtown Alive! and The Greenroom present Dylan LeBlanc & The Pollies + Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rôdailleurs on May 25th with an original street party! The night will pay homage to DTA!s origins by throwing a party in the street. Many remember the times before Downtown had its great concert parks. DTA! got its start as a street concert, where people of all ages gathered to hear local musicians play. To celebrate our 35th Anniversary, DTA! is bringing back the feel and excitement of the original concert to once again blaze through designated areas on Jefferson St.
Dylan LeBlanc is an American singer-songwriter who started his music career in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. With three studio albums under his belt, he has tour extensively both nationally and internationally. Penned as the "new Neil Young", you can expect riffs similar to a lap steel guitar. Currently supporting his latest record "Cautionary Tale", you can hear for yourself at Downtown Alive!.
Music kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rôdailleurs. From the blackjack bogged woods of Cypress Island, La comes a sound rooted in traditions of field work and house dances. Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rodailleurs is one of the newest Lafayette based Cajun/Creole bands featuring musicians Jourdan Thibodeaux, Cedric Watson, Joel Savoy, Alan Lafleur, and Jay Miller.
Before the concert, and right after work ends for our Downtown employees, DTA! hosts Lafayette’s Happiest Hour. This week’s DTA! Happiest Hour will feature specialty drinks inside The Greenroom from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. The party will continue after DTA! with an “After Party” which will begin at The Greenroom.
As a reminder – DTA! Street Party mission is to drive business to surrounding restaurants, bars and shops on Jefferson St. So please leave your ice chest at home and support your favorite downtown businesses. Smoking and pets are not allowed to encourage a safe and family-friendly event for all.
