Sept Science on the Bayou: Mysteries of the Deep Seas & Life

Wednesday, September 5th | 7:00 PM-8:00 PM

Please join us for Science on the Bayou on Wednesday, Sept. 5th for a talk by Dr. Craig McClain on "How the Mysteries of the Deep Seas Challenge Everything We Know About Life."

Dr. McClain is the Executive Director for the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON), an international leader in oceanographic research, and a passionate science communicator about life in the deep (and sometimes not-so-deep) sea. In addition to his two decades of research, Dr. McClain has contributed popular writing features in Cosmos, Science Illustrated, Wired, and others, and the Deep-Sea News blog which he founded has been featured on NPR, The Discovery Channel, and other media outlets.

Please note that this event is on a WEDNESDAY, and that we're back at the Jefferson Street Pub. So come early for a drink and to chat, and stick around for the talk beginning at 7pm. Hope to see you there!
