An Afternoon with Angelle Terrell!
Ahoy mateys! CHB Lafayette is thrilled to set sail with Angelle Terrell on July 25th at 1 p.m. as we celebrate her newest middle grade release of Archie Dare and the Pirate Code!
Archie Dare and the Pirate Code, ideal for readers between the ages of 8-12 (3rd-6th grade) is a perfect late-summer reading adventure! Follow Archie as he investigates the disappearance of his grandfather, Papa, whose favorite obsession is Jean Lafitte, a famous New Orleans pirate. Archie teams up with Lou and Drea to follow the clues Papa left behind – to realize the reason his grandfather was taken is because he knows the location of Jean Lafitte’s lost treasure.
Make haste to CHB to meet Angelle, author of Someone in Louisiana Loves You, who writes stories about family, resilience, and the good kind of troublemaking. We’ll have pirate-themed crafting and other treasures too!

FROM THE AIRPORT
After leaving the Lafayette Regional Airport, drive towards University Avenue to head into Downtown Lafayette by way of Johnston and then Jefferson Street.
FROM I-10
Take Exit 101 onto North University Avenue and follow the signs to Downtown Lafayette.
FROM Interstate-49
Interstate 49 becomes the Evangeline Thruway as you enter Lafayette. Take a right off of Evangeline Thruway onto Jefferson Boulevard.
FROM Highway 90
Highway 90 becomes the Evangeline Thruway as you enter Lafayette. Take a left off of Evangeline Thruway onto Jefferson Boulevard.
