We’re excited to spend an educational afternoon with Jack B. McGuire, who will be reading from and signing his new book *Killing the Kingfish: The Huey Long Assassination* on May 9 at 3 p.m. at CHB Lafayette!

Jack, who has served in the New Orleans mayor’s office and as Mandeville city councilman, wrote the book compiling years of research on the 1935 assassination of U.S. Senator and former Louisiana Gov. Huey Long. *Killing the Kingfish* explores the events leading up to the assassination and includes previously undisclosed information, including secret state investigative files.

Jack will read from *Killing the Kingfish* before talking with readers and signing books. Secure your seat through Bon Temps Tix for this informative reading and meet-and-greet – general admission is free. You can order a copy of the book by 11:59 p.m. on May 8th as your ticket through Bon Temps Tix, and we’ll have some copies on-hand at the store.

We’re excited to hear from Jack about his research and his new book!
