Downtown Alive! is considered Acadiana’s longest-standing free concert series. A tradition that once started as a way to drive foot traffic to the Downtown core has transformed into a celebration of the music and culture the district is known for. Downtown Alive!, Downtown Lafayette, and Evangeline Maid merchandise is available for purchase online and during all DTA! events. Proceeds from these merchandise go back to Downtown Lafayette to help continue keeping the DTA! tradition alive.

The Children’s Museum of Acadiana will be joining us with CMA on the Go! — a traveling educational program that delivers hands-on STEM activities and interactive learning right to our event. Kids will have fun exploring science, math, and creativity through engaging, age-appropriate adventures!

The Josh Mendoza Experience
A Blues Rock and R&B group based in Lafayette, Louisiana, led by guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader Josh Mendoza. Known for his soulful guitar playing, energetic performances, and deep appreciation for the blues tradition, Mendoza has quickly established himself as one of the region's promising young musicians. Despite his age, Josh has built an impressive résumé, performing professionally alongside respected Louisiana artists including Dustin Dale Gaspard, Ray Boudreaux, Zach Edwards, and Andy Smith. He has appeared at renowned venues and events including Antone's, Tipitina's, Festival International de Louisiane, SXSW, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the Acadiana Center for the Arts. Josh's musical foundation was shaped through mentorship from legendary guitarist Lil' Buck Sinegal, acclaimed bassist and bandleader Lee Allen Zeno, as well as instruction from Chad Viator and the School of Rock in Lafayette. He also studied at Berklee College of Music. Now stepping into the spotlight as a frontman, Josh leads The Josh Mendoza Experience with a powerful blend of original music and reimagined classics, delivering a high-energy live show that combines blues, rock, and groove-driven R&B. Backed by a talented band and driven by a passion for authentic musicianship, Josh Mendoza is carving out his own path while honoring the traditions that inspired him.

FROM THE AIRPORT
After leaving the Lafayette Regional Airport, drive towards University Avenue to head into Downtown Lafayette by way of Johnston and then Jefferson Street.
FROM I-10
Take Exit 101 onto North University Avenue and follow the signs to Downtown Lafayette.
FROM Interstate-49
Interstate 49 becomes the Evangeline Thruway as you enter Lafayette. Take a right off of Evangeline Thruway onto Jefferson Boulevard.
FROM Highway 90
Highway 90 becomes the Evangeline Thruway as you enter Lafayette. Take a left off of Evangeline Thruway onto Jefferson Boulevard.

Downtown Lafayette makes parking easy with the ParkMobile Parking App for metered street parking. All metered spaces are free after 5:00 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends.
