Louisiana Book Launch of Miracle Children with Katie Benner and Erica L. Green!
Join us at CHB Lafayette for a Q&A and signing with New York Times reporters Katie Benner and Erica L. Green who investigated T.M. Landry College Prep. Ashley White, the education reporter with The Acadiana Advocate and CHB Lafayette's own bookseller, will be moderating the Q&A with Katie and Erica!
Katie and Erica’s book Miracle Children: Race, Education, and a True Story of False Promises chronicles their yearlong investigation into the Breaux Bridge private school, its students, and Ivy League admissions to understand why Black teens were pressured to trade racial stereotypes of hardship for opportunity.
Order a copy of Miracle Children and secure your spot through Bon Temps Tix! Tickets are free and required for entry.
We can’t wait to hear from these esteemed journalists about their reporting and what it tells us about education in Louisiana!
Katie Benner and Erica L. Green will sign copies of Miracle Children after the Q&A! Order your copy by 11:59 p.m. on 1/19/26. Copies will be available at the event.
