Join the Louisiana Music Museum for the inaugural "**Rock the Block" **- a vibrant downtown street party dedicated to the past, present, and future of our state’s incredible sound. We’re taking over the 100 block of Vermilion St. for an evening of live local legends, downtown flavors, and a chance to leave your mark on the museum before the first stone is even laid.
Whether you're a lifelong zydeco fan, a jazz aficionado, or just looking for the best Saturday night vibe in Lafayette, there’s a spot on the block for you.
What’s on the Setlist:
- The Main Stage: Catch high-energy sets from two local Louisiana bands:
- 5:00pm - Corey Ledet Zydeco & Black Magic
- 6:30pm - Roddie Romero and the Hub City AllStars
- The Taste of Downtown: We’ve invited our favorite neighborhood restaurants to serve up local eats and refreshments.
- The Legacy: Be part of the first to join our Paver Campaign. Purchase a personalized commemorative paver that will be permanently installed at the museum’s grand entrance. Choose from two sizes and ensure your name is part of our continued legacy.

FROM THE AIRPORT
After leaving the Lafayette Regional Airport, drive towards University Avenue to head into Downtown Lafayette by way of Johnston and then Jefferson Street.
FROM I-10
Take Exit 101 onto North University Avenue and follow the signs to Downtown Lafayette.
FROM Interstate-49
Interstate 49 becomes the Evangeline Thruway as you enter Lafayette. Take a right off of Evangeline Thruway onto Jefferson Boulevard.
FROM Highway 90
Highway 90 becomes the Evangeline Thruway as you enter Lafayette. Take a left off of Evangeline Thruway onto Jefferson Boulevard.
STREET PARKING
Downtown Lafayette makes parking easy with the ParkMobile Parking App for metered street parking. All metered spaces are free after 5:00 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends.
PARKING GARAGE
The Parc-Auto du Centre-Ville Garage, located at 121 East Vermilion Street, offers 530 affordable parking spaces.

Parking your bike is simpler than ever with 75 new bike racks recently installed by Lafayette City Government in Downtown and nearby areas.
